Mav Block is a American filmmaker, artist, and aspiring (though unsuccessful) vagabond fresh out of the undergraduate film & television program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In his work, he prefers to explore emotional extremes, paradox, and is drawn to portraiture. He grew up outside of Philadelphia and spent twelve years at a Quaker school, where he learned consensus didn’t work after his teachers abandoned it in favor of voting by the ninth grade.
